The Decoré team is among the top greater Houston area interior design companies. Since 2010, we have grown in both size and reputation, and we couldn’t be happier. Officially approved by the Better Business Bureau, our priority is understanding the specific needs of each client and applying them throughout the entire design creative process. With a rebranding from the old "Decore & More Design Studio" to better represent the designer behind it all, our company is now known as "Decoré | Gerty Portillo". This transition has only made our company stronger as it presents a clear representation of whom our company represents and the fabulous work of our founder throughout the years.
What we create is born from a collaboration with each client, which is why we include our clients in each step of the process to ensure that our work is exactly what they had in mind. From a single room to an entire home or even a commercial space, we will address every aspect of what's at hand: architecture, interior design, custom furniture, fabrics, color palettes, and art. Gerty Portillo
Founder & Interior Designer
Gerty is a Designer by excellence, born and raised in Guatemala City where she studied Graphic Design and specialized as an Interior Designer, Gerty is an expert in fabrics and color coordination, transforming every space that she works with into a masterpiece.
Not to mention Gerty has an extensive interior design portfolio of clients in The Woodlands, Katy, Magnolia, and other greater Houston areas. This includes multiple award-winning projects, such as the Best Interior Designer of 2018 and Best of Katy 2013 in the Residential Design field. Her designs have been portrayed in magazines such as Viva The Woodlands, The Best of the Woodlands, and Entrepreneur Magazine (Spanish edition).
In 2017, Gerty appeared on Mega TV, Houston TX as a design consultant, sharing advice about design and home improvement.

Darvin Fuentes
Project Manager
Darvin has been a Construction Executive at Decoré since 2008, making sure all of our projects are completed in a diligent and timely manner.
Having over 15 years of experience in construction, Darvin possesses a unique sense of craftsmanship and he takes great pride in every project he does. Not only does he lead the construction team in a strategic manner, but Darvin also has a way of always finding a solution to meet every client's design dreams that to other project managers may seem impossible.
This is the man that takes your dreams, our sketches, and turns them into a fascinating reality.
Jessica Avila
Interior Designer
Jessica was born in Guatemala City, where she studied Interior Design with a specialization in Landscaping at the Isthmus University of Guatemala. Passionate of art, she uses her drawing and creativity skills to create unique designs that are not only beautiful, but also functional for the client. Working on the technical and creative part of the designs, she focuses on the satisfaction of every client making sure every project meets their needs and contributes to their lifestyle.
Lizzie Delgado
Interior Designer
Lizzie was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She studied business management at the University of Mississippi. Upon graduation she worked for years in the construction industry and also has experience in Real Estate as well. She is now studying Interior Design, for it is something she has been wanting to pursue for a while.
Luz Molina
Interior Designer
Luz was born in Guatemala and studied hospitality business. She had the pleasure of working for United Airlines for 16 years.
Now, she is pursuing her passion for interior design at the New York Institute of Art and Design.
